Nasrallah: Whoever wants to protect Lebanon must vote for the resistance and its allies

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Monday that some political forces focused their current electoral battles against the Resistance’s weapons and not the daily problems of the Lebanese people.

Nasrallah’s comments were made during an electoral festival in Tyre and Nabatieh whereby he called on everyone to “practice a political resistance to preserve the military resistance,” noting that “whoever wants to protect Lebanon must vote for the resistance and its allies.”

On another note, he emphasized that some parties boycotted President Michel Aoun's call for dialogue few months ago because they did not want to discuss the defense strategy.

"To be honest, the resistance is the one that protects the southern villages, and we have always presented defense strategies since 2006, and all we hear from them are calls to hand over the weapons," Nasrallah explained.

"Is the Lebanese army capable of taking responsibility in the south, confronting Israel, and protecting Lebanon?" Nasrallah asked.

“Who in Lebanon can take a political decision to bomb the settlements if Israel attacks?” he concluded by asking.
