Hankash to LBCI: Lebanese want vengeance and to hold those responsible for current situation accountable

Candidate Elias Hankash stated on Friday that the Lebanese people want vengeance and to hold those responsible for the current situation accountable.

Hankash's remarks came during an interview with LBCI's TV show "Elections 2022," in which he stressed that Lebanon's problems cannot be solved with the push of a button, but rather require a wide range of solutions.

He also stated that the current ruling elite did nothing to alleviate the crisis, and that the decision of peace and war, as well as security, is not in the hands of the state.

"We did not and will not elect Nabih Berri as Speaker, and we will not elect a President from the March 8 ranks," Hankash said.

"The Lebanese people have a historic opportunity to elect people who look like them and who represent their aspirations in Parliament," he said.
