Frangieh: Only circumstances can decide who will become president

Marada Movement leader Sleiman Frangieh held on Wednesday a press conference over the latest parliamentary elections.

During the press conference, Frangieh thanked everyone who stood by them despite the “strange electoral battle, and despite all the circumstances, the atmosphere, and the mobilization.”

As for the electoral law, he stressed that it must be reconsidered, saying however that he accepts its outcome.

As for the breakthrough made by the civil society in Zgharta district, Frangieh noted that the elected MPs are not opponents.

On another note, Frangieh stressed that the results of the parliamentary elections have nothing to do with the presidential election.

“Only circumstances can decide who will become president,” he concluded by saying.
