This rabbit originally played the role of a judge, evaluating whether children were good or disobedient in behavior at the start of the Easter season.
Here are some easy steps for you to prepare a colored Easter Bunny Cake at home!
First off you'll need a sponge cake.
Sponge cake recipe
Ingredients:
100g self-rising flour 100g sugar 100g butter 2 eggs
Or
100g plain flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 100g sugar 100g butter 2 eggs
Method:
Whisk the butter and sugar, then add the eggs and mix to get a creamy batter.
Put it in a cake tin with baking paper and place it in the oven for 18-20 minutes on 200'c.
Buttercream Frosting
1 cup unsalted butter very soft 8 cups confectioners' sugar 1⁄2 cup milk 2 teaspoons vanilla
Place the butter in a large mixing bowl. Add 4 cups of the sugar and then the milk and vanilla.
Beat until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the remaining sugar, 1 cup at a time, until icing is thick enough to be of good spreading consistency (you may not need all of the sugar).
If desired, add a few drops of food coloring and mix thoroughly. Use and store icing at room temperature, as icing will set if chilled. You can store in an airtight container for up to three days.
