Maronite Bishops urge Lebanese officials to aid Syrian refugees

Maronite Bishop of Beirut Boulos Matar said on Saturday that Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai briefed bishops on his latest visit to France and his tour in South America whereby he visited 7 countries.

Bishop Matar said from Bkerke following the meeting of the Maronite Synod of Bishops that priests and bishops along with Patriarch Rai tackled the latest Lebanese developments as well as the situation in Tripoli and at the Northern Lebanese borders.

Matar called on all Lebanese officials to act in a reasonable manner; urging them to aid the Syrian refugees and to put an end to the suffering of the Southern Lebanese citizens in the "occupied territories".
