2 kidnapped persons freed in Ras Baalbek

The state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday that the two Lebanese citizens who were kidnapped from the Ras Baalbek region in northeastern Lebanon were freed.

Earlier, the agency said that unknown persons abducted Ziad Nasrallah and Izzat al-Badawi while heading to the region of Arsal.

Lebanon has recently witnessed several kidnapping operations, mainly sectarian abductions caused by the civil war in Syria.
