MP Michel Aoun: Sidon incidents must put an end to armed presence in Lebanon

Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun said on Monday that the ongoing events in Sidon are the beginning of the end of the armed presence in the country.

MP Aoun added that he always warned against the presence of armed men among the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, reiterating his support to the refugees on condition they back the Lebanese state.

He also said that he had previously warned the government of any chaos that would threaten the army, calling on leaders to assume their national responsibilities in this regard.
