Mikati: Jeopardizing security situation a huge step back
PM Najib Mikati said on Thursday that the region is going through “a delicate phase”, stressing the importance of sparing Lebanon the security repercussions.

“The cabinet is seeking to fend off the repercussions of the crisis besieging the region; it is giving priority to national dialogue to enhance internal unity,” he added, betting on the awareness and wisdom of political readers in this regard.

During the opening of the Lebanese Economic Forum at the Coral Beach, Mikati warned that jeopardizing the security situation will be a huge step back.

Mikati reiterated Lebanon’s support for just Arab causes, the Arab world’s stability and its development at the political, economic and social level.

Mikati also reiterated his commitment to international resolutions, stressing that just and comprehensive peace in the region is the sole key to stability.

Mikati touched on “the good reputation” that the Lebanese banking sector enjoys, voicing confidence in the ability of the Lebanese economy to overcome any obstacle despite the current atmosphere.
