Man arrested in Bourj al-Barajneh for drug trafficking

The Internal Security Forces said on Saturday that the Lebanese police arrested "one of the most dangerous men" wanted for drug trafficking.

The police issued a statement in which it said that it arrested on Friday a Palestinian national identified by his initials, A.D. and also known by the nickname of Al-Sanfour (The Smurf), after the anti-drug department obtained information about his whereabouts.

The statement added that the 23-year-old man was arrested at the outskirts of Beirut's Palestinian refugee camp of Bourj al-Barajneh.

The suspect has 125 judicial warrants issued against him related to drug trafficking, theft, and shooting at police officers.
