President Sleiman meets with Egyptian envoy, receives letter from Interim President Mansour

President Michel Sleiman met Wednesday at the Baabda Palace with the Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon Ashraf Hamdi who handed him a letter from Egypt's interim President Adli Mansour.

The letter reportedly includes a detailed explanation of the latest developments in Egypt, as well as a road-map for the upcoming stage.

In the letter, Interim president Mansour stressed Egypt's keenness on establishing a civil and democratic society based on "the rule of law and plurality where no one is discriminated against based on gender or belief."

Among President Sleiman's visitors was also caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Samir Mokbel who briefed him over the files he is following through the ministerial committees that he presides.

Sleiman also met with members of the new council of the Banque du Liban association presided by Francois Bassil.
