LAF soldier killed on the eve of Army Day

An army soldier was killed and another was injured on Wednesday in a raid carried out by Lebanese Armed Forces in Majdal Anjar, in Lebanon’s Governorate of Bekaa.

In the details, a Lebanese Armed Forces’ unit raided the residence of fugitive Wissam Abdel Hafiz across the Al-Azhar Mosque in Majdal Anjar, but did not find him.

On their way back, unidentified assailants fired gunshots at the LAF patrol killing soldier Charbel Hatem and injuring another.
