Gemayel: spare Lebanon from blowback of regional turmoil

Kataeb party leader Amin Gemayel called on the President and the PM to fulfill their duties in this critical period, for the interest of the country. “Lebanon cannot fail to fund the STL”, he said.

Following his meeting with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai in Bkerke, Gemayel stressed the necessity to immunize the domestic scene from the Syrian crisis’ repercussions, adding that Lebanon should put the supreme interest of the country above all considerations.

Gemayel called on all parties to trust the STL for it is the only guarantee, adding “basically, we are the ones who demand dialogue, and we demand it on all levels”.
