Abu Faour to LBCI: We did not decide to resign yet…
The Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abu Faour said that it is early to discuss any stance from the National Struggle Front ministers if the government fails to fund the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, revealing that unlike what has been in the media lately the Front did not take any decision regarding this possible scenario.

Abu Faour mentioned that Druze ministers in the cabinet understand all the concerns showed by Hezbollah regarding the politicization of the court which could target the Party with no clear evidences for its implication in the Hariri assassination.

Abu Faour told Nharkom Said on LBCI that there is a need to find a possible outcome to fund the STL based on common grounds between all political parties as a failure to commit to international obligations will incite strife in the country and will place Lebanon in direct confrontation with the international community.

One of the National Struggle Front ministers previously told An-Nahar newspaper that the National Struggle Front ministers will resign if Mikati refuses to fund the STL.
