3 Syrians kidnapped in the town of Britel

An unknown group cut off the road on Tuesday  leading to the outskirts of the Bekaa town of Britel,  kidnapping three Syrians identified as: Bilal Khalouf, Mohammad Omar and Mohammad Shaddad.

The abduction  reportedly comes in response to the kidnapping of Ali Abbas Ismail and Hassan Abbas Ismail who hail from the town of Britel one week ago.

A wave of tit-for-tat kidnapping began on Sunday March 24, when Hussein Kamel al-Jaafar was kidnapped by unidentified assailants and reportedly taken into Syria.

In retaliation, the al-Jaafar clan of Baalbeck kidnapped several people from Arsal.

Several kidnapping incidents followed as a direct spillover of the crisis in neighboring Syria.
