Bassil: We are not satisfied with the cabinet’s performance

Following a meeting for ministers of the Change and Reform bloc, Energy Minister Gerban Bassil said that the bloc is not satisfied with the cabinet’s performance.

Bassil refused to link between the cabinet’s performance and the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.

Bassil called for studying pending issues regarding development and investment projects as well as the social and livelihood issues, adding that they will determine whether or not they will resign based on the cabinet’s response to the bloc’s demands.

“We do not aim to topple the government but to adjust its performance and address pending issues”, Bassil added.

Bassil stressed that Change and Reform bloc's meetings will stay open until the cabinet's performance is adjusted. Both Industry Minister Freij Sabounjian and State Minister Salim Karam did not attend the meeting.
