Rahme to LBCI: Solution for STL funding lies in unanimous ministerial decision

Free and Unified Lebanon bloc MP Emile Rahme said on Monday that declarations that Lebanon will be subjected to sanctions, similar to those imposed on Syria, should the cabinet fail to fund the STL are “a kind of intimidation.”

“The solution for this issue lies in a unanimous ministerial decision,” he added.

Rahme told Nharkom Said TV show that “there is a ray of hope that Speaker Nabih Berri will find a solution for this ministerial crisis.”

Rahme said that Tripoli’s key figures were absent from the Future Movement ceremony, including the Mufti of the North Sheikh Malek El Chaar, adding that the participants’ number was way less than expected.

“The Future movement is currently pondering the reasons behind the lower-than-expected number of participants,” he added.
