Kaouk: March 14 position on U.S. spying network a national scandal

Hezbollah Sheikh Nabil Kaouk said on Monday that “the recent March 14 bloc’s position on the U.S. spying networks in Lebanon, which was admitted by the CIA, reveals the bloc’s negligence of Lebanon’s sovereignty and constitutes a national sin and scandal.”

During a commemorative celebration in Ainata-Bent Jbeil , Kaouk stressed that “this party, through its attempt to direct Lebanon into a position against Syria, contravenes the Taif accord and Lebanon’s interests after the party became the victim of an external will due to a long history of commitments.”

Kaouk confirmed that “targeting Syria was part of the goal of the 2006 July war which was a resounding defeat for the enemy.”
