Lebanese singer Xris Jor wins singing competition at the Dubai World Trade Center

Lebanese singer Xris Jor received the opportunity of a lifetime after winning the Dubai Music Week competition held Wednesday at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Jor, who sealed the deal will have the chance to have her debut single produced by the legendary Quincy Jones.

Quincy Jones is an American producer, arranger, composer, and trumpeter.

He is known as the producer of Michael Jackson's album Thriller which sold more than 110 million copies worldwide.

The judging panel was formed of Quincy Jones, the Black Eyes Peas’ will.i.am and hit-maker Timbaland.

Jor competed against four other UAE-based artists: the Emirati soul man Hamdan Al Abri, pop-singer DD Foxx, singer and songwriter Nile and rocker Jay Wud.

The four singers were invited to take part in this exclusive showcase after being nominated by executives from Sony, Universal Music and A&R.

Jor took part last year in the Arabic Version of The Voice.
