Kataeb party stresses need to form new cabinet

The Kataeb party offered its condolences Monday over the death of the victims who drowned in the Indonesian sea, calling on the Indonesian and Australian authorities to launch investigations in the case in cooperation with the Lebanese judiciary.          

Following its regular meeting, the party’s political bureau said that "the incident of the Indonesian boat serves as a wake-up call to the authorities who continue to neglect the needs of citizens who are attempting to travel overseas looking for better life."         

However, the party praised the efforts deployed by President Michel Sleiman during the UN conference held in order to provide Lebanon with necessary assistance allowing it to cope with the humanitarian crisis of the Syrian refugees.                

On another note, the Kataeb party reiterated the need to from a new cabinet the soonest possible, stressing that the issue of the governmental formation has become a national duty that must not be compromised regardless of the obstacles.
