Qabbani: Mikati’s decision confirms his adherence to Islamic principles

The Highest Islamic Council headed by the Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani said on Saturday that PM Najib Mikati’s initiative to fund the STL proved his adherence to the Islamic principles issued during Dar al-Fatwa’s meeting and confirmed that the Lebanese did not and will not renounce their demand to know the truth behind Hariri’s assassination.

It was agreed to extend the mandate of the present Mufti till the 31 of December 2011 pending the holding of future Council elections.
