Judge Sawan issues arrest warrant against defected Syrian colonel

The Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawan interrogated Thursday the defected Syrian Colonel Ahmad Amer, after he was arrested on charges of forming an armed gang aiming at implementing terrorist acts across Lebanon.

Judge Sawan issued an arrest warrant against Colonel Amer after referring his case the military prosecution for necessary legal action.    

In this context, sources told LBCI that Colonel Amer was attempting to send people from Lebanon to fight in Syria, before he was detained by the General Security. 

The sources added that the investigations are underway with the arrestee in order to unveil his partners.
