Patriarch Rai meets with FPM leader Aoun

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai met on Wednesday night with Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun at Bkerkeh.

Both men reportedly discussed local issues and developments in the region and their affects on Lebanon.

Following the meeting, Aoun said that "efforts must be deployed to spare Lebanon the repercussions of the country's crisis."

"Christian unity will lead to Lebanese unity that will bring together all people regardless of their sects,” added Aoun.
