Why are so many cars lining up at inspection centers?
Vehicle inspection centers are still witnessing tremendous lines since the general amnesty on inspection late fees issued by the interior ministry at the beginning of the month. The amnesty period is one month.

Hundreds of cars were backed up at inspection centers around the country given December sees the highest number of inspections each year.

Traffic reached its peak at the Hadath center in the morning hours, mellowing out later in the afternoon. The problem does not lie within the centers themselves, but on the nearby roads. The number of vehicles operating in Lebanon hovers around 1.8 million but only about half of these will be inspected each year.
