Tensions run high in Taamir Ain el-Helwe

Tensions ran high on Friday in Taamir Ain el-Helwe after the Lebanese army arrested a woman on an LAF checkpoint.

In the details, the woman was accompanied by her husband and as soon as they arrived to the checkpoint, an LAF solider asked for their identification documents.

The husband escaped to the camp while his wife was arrested.

Consequently several gunmen fled the camp in the wake of the incident leaving the LAF in a state of high alert.

No further details were provided.
