State Commissioner Judge Saqr refers detainee Ahmad Ali to Information Bureau
 
The State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr referred on Tuesday detainee Ahmad Mohamad Ali to the Internal Security Forces Information Bureau in order to carry out preliminary investigations to reveal further information over Tripoli's twin blasts and the role he had played in this case.

Sources told LBCI that Ahmad Ali had smuggled suspect Ahmed Merhi who drove the booby-trapped car and parked it outside the Taqwa mosque, noting that Merhi is still in Lebanon and is believed to be under the cover of some parties.

On Saturday the 12th of October, Judge Saqr Saqr ordered the arrest of three suspects over their alleged involvement in the bombings that targeted the northern city of Tripoli in August.

"Judge Saqr ordered the arrest of Youssef Diab who hails from Tripoli’s Jabal Mohsen,” the state-run National News Agency reported.

This as, security sources confirmed that Youssef Diab was the one who drove the booby-trapped car and parked it outside the Salam mosque in Tripoli while Ahmed Merhi parked the car outside the Taqwa mosque.

On Friday the 23rd of August, two explosions rocked the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli near the al-Taqwa and al-Salam mosques, leaving 45 killed and almost 500 others injured.
