General Workers Union calls for a united cabinet to save the country from collapse

The Bureau of the Executive Board of the General Workers Union said Wednesday that violence in Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli and surrounding regions affect the poorest factions, in the absence of developmental plans, pointing out that the northern city continues to suffer from the repercussions of over 30 years of neglect.

Following a meeting presided by its chief Ghassan Ghosn, the Union called for the formation of a united cabinet to save the country from collapse, criticizing the individual and collective termination of employment taking place in various sectors, partially as a result of the rising influx of Syrian refugees into the country.
