Roumieh Islamist detainees reject accusations of possessing weapons and explosives

The Islamist detainees held in Roumieh prison issued Monday a statement whereby they stressed that reports stating that they possess weapons and explosives and refuse search operations are nothing but rumors.

In this context, the Islamist detainees rejected accusations launched against them regarding their cooperation with the Islamist groups fighting in Syria, pointing out that “such accusations aim at covering the case of Tripoli blasts or at drawing attention away from a plot that is being prepared behind the scenes.”
