Speaker Berri arrives to Tehran, hopes Iranian deal will lead to settlement in Syria

Speaker Nabih Berri arrived on Sunday to Tehran, as part of an official visit to Iran, upon the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.

Berri was escorted by a parliamentary delegation which includes MPs Abdel Latif El Zein, Hagop Pakradonian, Ghazi Zoaiter, Ali Fayad and Kassem Hachem.

He was received by deputy Speaker of Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Reza Bahonar and the Lebanese ambassador to Tehran Fadi al Hajj Ali and others high-ranking figures.

Berri will hold discussions with the Iranian leadership with talks featuring high on bilateral relations and the regional developments.

Speaker Berri hoped that the Iranian deal will lead to a settlement in Syria and will restore confidence between Arab countries and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
