March 14 calls for new cabinet to end havoc after attacks on LAF

The March 14 General Secretariat said the assailants attacking the Lebanese army are considering the military a target to spread chaos in the country, calling for the formation of a new government in a bid to confront saboteurs.

"The most dangerous aspect of the latest assaults on the army was the criminals' attempts to spread havoc in Lebanon," the General Secretariat said following its weekly meeting.

On Tuesday, two soldiers were slightly wounded when six rockets fired from the Syrian side of the border landed in the northeastern town of Hermel, one of them inside an army barracks.
Similarly, the army was attacked on Sunday night in Lebanon's southern city of Sidon, leaving Army Sergeant Samer Rizk dead and three LAF soldiers wounded.

In this regard, the Secretariat called on President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam to make a “courageous and patriotic” move by forming a cabinet capable of managing the country's affairs.
