PSP media spokesman Rayess to LBCI: MP Jumblatt is only concerned with Lebanon's stability

Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) media spokesman Ramy Al-Rayess stressed on Thursday that National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt is only concerned with maintaining Lebanon's stability and civil peace.

"The PSP is still calling for an agreement over the cabinet formation process, which should spare the country further havoc," Rayess said in a phone call with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show.

"The current phase requires the formation of a new government," he said, adding that the PSP is considering all options and will issue its own stances regarding upcoming developments.

Rayess also stressed that contacts are being held with all Lebanese parties, and said: "We held consultations with President Michel Sleiman and we briefed him, along with all the concerned authorities, on our stance should a fait accompli cabinet be formed".
