Lebanon files complaint against Israel to Security Council

The Foreign Ministry filed a complaint Saturday against Israeli violations of UN resolution 1701 to UN Security Council.

The grievance came on the backdrop of recently discovered espionage device planted in South Lebanon.

Israel detonated the device shortly after it was compromised by the Lebanese side.

The Ministry asked Lebanon's permanent delegation to the UN in New York to submit the complaint to UN Secretary General and head of Security Council to be distributed upon member countries and filed as an official document under the title "Situation in Middle East."
