Future bloc: Lebanese citizens are paying the price of Hezbollah’s intervention in Syria

 
The Future bloc called Wednesday on Lebanese President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam to form a new cabinet from non-politicians, and refer all other pending dossiers to the national dialogue table.          

Following the bloc’s weekly meeting, the Future bloc praised the stances of President Sleiman, as well as the security achievement regarding the arrest of Majed al-Majed who was a threat on all Lebanese nationals.          

On another note, the Future bloc called on security apparatuses to speed up the investigations in order to reveal those who were behind the assassination of former Minister Mohammad Chatah.            

The bloc also denounced the “terrorist attack” that targeted Haret Hreik, and considered that those who were killed are martyrs of the entire nation, adding that they paid the price of Hezbollah’s intervention in the Syrian crisis.          

An explosion rocked the Lebanese capital Beirut on Friday, December 27, targeting the convoy of former minister Mohammad Chatah.                      

The explosion in Beirut's Starco claimed the lives of 8 persons, including former minister Chatah, and injured 71 others.       

Another powerful explosion shook southern Beirut, a stronghold of Hezbollah, on the 2nd of January, killing at least 4 people and injuring over 77 others.
