Bishops visit Mufti Shaar on occasion of Prophet Mohammed's birthday

A delegation of bishops met on Monday with Mufti of Tripoli and the North Sheikh Malek Shaar on the occasion of the Prophet Mohammed's birthday.

After meeting Shaar, the bishops said that residents of the northern city of Tripoli do not seek to eliminate the others, adding that all Lebanese people worship the same God.

For his part, Mufti Shaar stressed that religion must not be a reason for fighting, stressing that the mission of religious men is to maintain peace and harmony among Lebanese people.
