Japanese diplomat says Japan ready to provide $20 million grant to Lebanon
     
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Friday at the Grand Serail with Japan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Takao Makino who told him that "Japan is ready to provide a grant worth twenty million US dollars in a bid to support Lebanon, mainly in hosting Syrian refugees".      
Both officials also discussed the latest developments regarding economic relations between the two countries, the state-run National News Agency reported.         

Mikati also met with caretaker Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour with talks featuring high on the political situation, developments regarding the cabinet formation process and results of the Kuwait conference to help Syrian refugees.
