Patriarch Rai hopes Geneva II conference yields fruitful results

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai said the latest security developments in Lebanon will lead to a further deterioration in the security situation.

In the Sunday Homily, Patriarch Rai said Lebanese officials are seeking the support of their followers for personal benefits.

“A true official uses his influence and sacrifices for the good of the nation,” Rai said.

On another note, Patriarch Rai expressed his hope that the long-awaited Geneva II peace conference of Syria yields fruitful results and puts an end to wars and conflicts in the region.
