Aoun: What is happening in Beirut and are incidents really that frequent?

The Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun said that the bloc’s meeting looked into the electoral law, Bkerke’s meeting and the issue of appointments.

Speaking on the call of Beirut MPs asking to render the capital an arms-free city, Aoun asked: “What is happening in Beirut and are incidents really that frequent?”

Aoun added that the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq marks the end of an obsolete global system and the emergence of new equations. “President Sleiman is a key reference himself”, Aoun said, “I kindly ask him to inform public opinion of the content of the meeting we held”.

Aoun stressed financial files are ready and we will soon cooperate with the General Prosecution to put them on the table.
