Al Qaeda militants from Lebanon into Syria

A Lebanese governmental source said on Wednesday that the security apparatuses briefed the cabinet on the infiltration of Al Qaeda militants in Syria through the border village of Arsal.

The sources told AFP that, during a security meeting headed by PM Najib Mikati held a few weeks ago, security forces presented information regarding the infiltration of Al Qaeda members from Arsal into Syria, pretending to adhere to the Syrian opposition.

The source added that the concerned security forces are investigating the issue.
