3.5 earthquake shakes southern city of Tyre

The Bhannes Center for Seismic and Scientific Research reported on Monday that a minor earthquake shook the southern city of Tyre on Monday.

The earthquake came one day after a similar quake hit the northern city of Tripoli.

The center added that the residents of Tyre felt at 2:52 am the quake that measured 3.5 on the Richter scale.

The quake happened on the Srifa faultline, it added.

“There is nothing to worry about,” a spokesman concluded by saying.
