Minister Derbass to LBCI: We are in need of the government in order to receive assistance

Social Affairs Minister Rashid Derbass said all speakers at the Paris conference voiced their readiness to provide Lebanon with assistance and stressed that "the country can no longer shoulder this burden".

In a phone call with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV show on Friday, Derbass said deadlines set by donor countries should be met, noting that the outcome of the Paris conference was "excellent".

In a question directed at Derbass over the aid provided to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, the minister noted that the World Bank has set forth a clear roadmap, and said: "We are in need of the government in order to receive assistance".
