Jabhat al-Nusra in Lebanon claims responsibility for rockets on Bekaa's Nabi Sheet

Jabhat al-Nusra in Lebanon claimed responsibility via Twitter for several Grad rockets launched today on al-Nabi Sheet as well as for the 3 Grad rockets launched towards the Bekaa town on Tuesday.

Four Grad rockets launched from the Syrian side hit the outskirts of the Bekaa town of al-Nabi Sheet on Thursday, but no casualties were reported.

The rockets landed on al-Arid neighborhood in the hills of al-Nabi Sheet.

Two days ago, three rockets launched from the Syrian side hit the town of al-Nabi Sheet and its outskirts, leaving three persons wounded and causing damages to property, the Lebanese Army Command said.

President Michel Sleiman urged all parties to the conflict in Syria to keep their fighting away from the Lebanese border towns and their residents.

Shelling from the Syrian side also damaged other Lebanese border towns which have bore the brunt of the cross-border attacks.

This comes as a result of the fighting taking place in Syria between Syrian government troops and rebels seeking to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.
