ISF thwart attempt to smuggle Captagon at Beirut International airport

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) said on Sunday that the Inspection Unit at the Beirut International Airport thwarted an attempt to smuggle Captagon pills.

Over 4.5 kg of Captagon pills, hidden in a double-bottom suitcase, were caught in the possession of female passenger identified by her initials as C. M.

The passenger, born in 1962 and carrying the Turkmenistani citizenship, was willing to smuggle the pills to a foreign country.

The suspect, who confessed to accusations, was transferred to the ISF Drug Control Office to carry on with the investigations.
