Patriarch Rai expresses grief over attack that targeted LAF checkpoint

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rai expressed deep grief on Sunday over the suicide attack that targeted a Lebanese Armed Forces checkpoint in Lebanese bordering town of Arsal, and called on the Lebanese cabinet to fully implement the security plan at the northern city of Tripoli.

During his homily at Our Lady of Lebanon basilica in Harissa, Patriarch Rai said “We are saddened by the assaults carried out against the people of Tripoli and against the Lebanese army in Bekaa.”
