On Saturday, a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb at a Lebanese Armed Forces checkpoint in the Wadi Ata area in the border town of Arsal.
Eyewitnesses said that three soldiers were killed and eight others were injured in the attack. The town of Arsal is home to thousands of Syrian refugees and also Syrian rebels and their Lebanese allies who have fled an army advance on the Syrian side of the border.
