Israeli army opens gunfire on outskirts of Shebaa Farms

Heavy gunfire was reported at dawn on Tuesday in the occupied Shebaa Farms near the Israeli military site of Ruwayssat al-Alam.

The state-run National News Agency reported that the incident was accompanied by Israeli drones that overflew the Shebaa Farms, Golan Heights and Jabal al-Sheikh.

This as an Israeli armored force patrolled the occupied parts of al-Wazzani area and al-Abbasiya.

On Monday, the state-run National News Agency stated that the Israeli army conducted unprecedented unmanned motorized patrols along the southern border between Kfarkala and Odeissi.

NNA also mentioned that Israeli soldiers planted a surveillance device along the technical fence to spy on Lebanon, stating that the said device was installed near a post for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon on the Odeissi road.

The agency also stated that Israeli helicopters overflew the occupied Kfarshouba Hills and the Shabaa Farms area. In January, Israeli soldiers planted an espionage device 70 meters inside the borders marked by the barbed wire fence in the southern town of Odeissi.

Lebanese Armed Forces insisted on removing the device, and UNIFIL forces intervened to resolve the dispute, which consequently ended with Israeli soldiers dismantling the said device.
