Agriculture Ministry ready to address phenomenon of locusts

The general director of the Agriculture Ministry, Louis Lahoud, said on Saturday locusts were not spotted in Lebanon, adding that the Ministry is ready to address this phenomenon on the technical and humanitarian level in case locusts were spotted in Lebanon.

Earlier, reports emerged stating that locusts were spotted in the coastal Lebanese city of Sidon, emphasizing that a plague of locusts was spread in some Lebanese areas due to the hot weather that Lebanon is witnessing.
