Burden of pay scale should not be shouldered by low income families- Finance Minister

Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil stressed on Tuesday that tireless efforts will be exerted in a bid to hold the presidential elections to elect a new president who will be able to deal with the upcoming phase.

“Lebanon is facing great challenges on the economic level,” Khalil said in a press conference.

He also said his party is keen on endorsing the series of ranks and salaries and grant the people their rights, adding however that the burden of the wage scale should not be shouldered by low income families.

“The pay scale should be endorsed while improving the financial management via reducing expenditures and upholding apt tax collection,” the minister said.
