Lebanon to witness economic boom within a decade- Interior Minister

“Lebanon will witness an economic boom within the next ten years thanks to the promising oil reserves,” Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq said on Thursday as he wrapped up his visit to Qatar.

“Lebanon’s security situation is under control and will remain as such for a long time,” Mashnouq said, noting that Arab investments in Lebanon haven’t been losing during the past four decades.

“Arab investments have increased despite all civil wars the country went through,” he said in a meeting with President of the Qatari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani and Qatari businessmen.

In this regard, the minister invited Qatari businessmen to come to Lebanon, praising “friendly relations” between the Lebanese people and Qatari nationals.

He also pledged to offer Qataris all the comfort they need and to facilitate their access to services while they spend their summer vacation in Lebanon.
