Minister Hajj Hassan: Consensus is crucial to elect president
Minister of Industry Houssein Hajj Hassan stressed on Tuesday that the presidential elections must be accomplished by reaching consensus among all political sides.

He also called on Lebanese leaders to deal with all the Lebanese pending issues in order to facilitate the lives of the people.

Hajj Hassan's comments were made during a religious ceremony held in Hawsh Sayyid Ali - Hermel district.

Lebanese lawmakers have now failed six attempts since April 23 to elect a successor to former President Michel Sleiman, whose six-year mandate ended on May 25, with the last five failing due to lack of the two-thirds quorum  needed of the legislature’s 128 members.
