ISF Director General offers condolences to Mahmoud Jamal Eddine's family

Ibrahim Basbous, the Director General of Internal Security Forces, offered on Sunday his condolences to the family of ISF martyr Mahmoud Jamal Eddine who was killed in the Daher al-Baydar suicide bombing.

In this regard, Basbous said the security forces will continue to fight terrorism, noting that investigations are ongoing to reveal the identity of those behind the crime.

Basbous also inspected the Chtaura hospital and visited the persons who were wounded in the explosion.

Two days ago, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a security checkpoint in Lebanon's Daher al-Baydar in the Eastern Bekaa Valley, leaving 1 person killed and up to 33 wounded, the health ministry said.

The Internal Security Forces received information on the presence of terrorist networks infiltrating the country namely for the possible assassination of Lebanon's Director General of General Security Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim who narrowly escaped the attack.
