Judge Abu Ghayda demands death penalty for ADP official Refaat Eid
Military Examining Magistrate Judge Riyad Abu Ghayda issued on Friday an indictment demanding the death penalty for Arab Democratic Party official Refaat Eid and three leaders of axis in Tripoli's Jabal Mohsen neighborhood on charges of murder and terrorism.

The charges also include “initiating gun battles between Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh.”

In April, new arrest warrants were issued against ADP leader Ali Eid, his son Refaat and many others over their involvement in the 18th round of fighting in the northern city of Tripoli.

The warrants came as army troops and security forces started implementing a security plan in the North and the Bekaa, arresting dozens of fugitives while many others are still on the run, among them Ali and Refaat Eid.
